These gel beads are made of sodium polyacrylate, a non-toxic, non-flammable, and 100% biodegradable synthetic polymer with excellent water absorption capacity. They are used to humidify the microenvironment for the aging of Puerh and other dark teas, only necessary in regions where the climate is dry (i.e., where the air humidity is below 50%). Each portion (3 g) contains approximately 180 beads and is sufficient to humidify one or two drawers.
 
Usage Instructions:
Soak the gel beads in cold water for 8–10 hours to allow them to expand. Place them in an open, water-impervious container and put the container together with your Puerh in an enclosed space such as a drawer or cabinet. When the gel beads become dehydrated, simply soak them again.
 
WARNING:
• Use together with a hygrometer and ensure that humidity does not exceed 68%. When humidity rises above 72%, the tea may become moldy.
 
• Avoid direct contact between the gel beads and the tea.
 
• Keep out of reach of children.
