Gaiwan - 盖碗

Gaiwan is a wonderful option for tea brewing in Gongfu Cha, since it is elegant, easy to handle and with fast heat conduction. Gaiwan is made up of a lid, a bowl, with or without a tray. A Gaiwan with tray is also called San Cai Wan (三才碗 bowl of three abilities), the lid stands for the sky, the bowl for people, and the tray for the earth, which implies the harmony between human and nature.
