Dark Tea - Heicha 黑茶

Dark tea includes Heicha and Puerh, which are teas of post-oxidation (or post-fermentation), that is, instead of during the production, oxidation begins at the end of their process.

 

Heicha is a category of dark tea particular to China, whose main production areas are found in many provinces like Hunan, Hubei, Guangxi, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Anhui etc. Among all of them, the most popular and delicious choices might be Anhua Heicha of Hunan province and Liubao of Guangxi province.
