Mu Lan is a varietal created through experiments by the Tea Institute of the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. For some reason, it did not manage to spread, so its cultivation is very limited; it doesn't even have an official name, as the name Mu Lan was given by the plantation owner.
Coming from the village of Masu in Tongmu Guan and processed by the same factory as our Ma Su Bai Nian Lao Cong, this Mu Lan is destined to be an excellent tea. It is crafted into a very similar flavor style to our Bai Nian Lao Cong, although the distinctive Laocong flavor from the century-old trees is logically absent; moreover, it also pleasantly holds a slight touch of bitterness compared to the Bai Nian Lao Cong.
