Two Gong Ting Shou/Ripe Puerh teas from our private reserve. The 2006 version was a tea we used to drink it daily for a couple of years, as it was already very good from the moment we purchased it in 2009; the 2008 version, on the other hand, was intended to age from the very beginning, when we bought a freshly produced large batch of 20kg.
Now both are excellently aged teas, exhibiting deep and complex flavors in common, along with aged profiles, yet completely free from any unpleasant storage notes, while each highlights its own distinctive trait: the 2006 takes pride in an extremely smooth texture and well-balanced structure, and the 2008 stands out for its intense flavor.
