Unrelated to the famous historical varietal Bai Rui Xiang (White Rui Xiang), Rui Xiang (瑞香) is a new cultivar selected just in 2003 from the bred offspring of Huang Dan (also known as Huang Jin Gui). It is characterized by a fresh and sweet aroma, both floral and fruity, and by a mellow, thick taste, making it highly suitable for Yancha, whether for blends or as a single-varietal tea.

 

Besides the quality of the raw material, this Rui Xiang especially stands out for its exceptional roasting process. The meticulous roasting in very small batches allows the requirements of each buyer to be accurately met, creating the ideal flavor profile we requested. It boasts a rich floral and fruity fragrance, as well as a comforting and well-judged roasting aroma, and above all, it achieves an admirable balance between the two.
